Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday said that electric vehicle (EV) prices in India will become comparable to petrol vehicle prices within the next four to six months.
Speaking at the 20th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2025, Gadkari highlighted that India spends 22 lakh crore annually on fuel imports — a major economic and environmental concern — and stressed the need to shift towards clean energy.
