Dr Jignesh Shah has been appointed president of the Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA), while Dr Maulik Sheth will serve as honorary secretary.
Announcing the theme “Beyond Scalpel and Stethoscope”, Dr Shah said AMA will focus on expanding its role into education, social service, professional empowerment, and community engagement.
Key initiatives for 2025-26 include public health awareness drives on organ donation, CPR training, and preventive health camps. On the academic front, AMA will host NATCON 2025 and AMACON 2026, along with CME programmes and hands-on workshops.
“With AMA’s rich legacy, we aim to rebuild trust in the doctor-patient relationship, empower our fraternity, and serve society with compassion and integrity,” Dr Shah said.
