IIM-Ahmedabad salaries rise; only 2 overseas offers, both from Dubai

Students of the flagship two-year MBA programme at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) secured higher salary packages this year, though international offers fell sharply to just two placements in Dubai, compared to 11 last year.

For the 2025 batch of 406 eligible students, the median salary stood at Rs 34.59 lakh per annum and the mean salary at Rs 35.50 lakh, up from Rs 32 lakh and Rs 33.23 lakh, respectively, for the 2024 batch.

The Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector offered the highest packages. Among the 178 firms that participated, top recruiters included Boston Consulting Group (35 offers), Accenture Strategy (31), Bain & Co (17), American Express, and McKinsey & Company.

In investment banking, Goldman Sachs led with nine offers, followed by Avendus Capital with seven. Other recruiters included Adani Group, Tata Administrative Services, FinIQ, Navi Technologies, BrowserStack, and Vector Consulting Group.

Placement officials credited the rise in offers to IIMA’s “Dream Application” policy, which allows students to pursue multiple preferred roles even after initial placements. A total of 154 dream applications were recorded this year.

Despite global economic uncertainty, faculty members noted recruiters’ continued confidence in IIMA graduates, with more than 25 new firms joining the placement drive this season.
