Traffic was disrupted near Arvind Mill in Naroda on Wednesday afternoon after residents blocked the road to protest against frequent sewage overflows and poor civic amenities.
Locals gathered near Anil Starch Mill in the East Zone, blocking both sides of the road, alleging that repeated complaints about overflowing gutters had gone unresolved.
Deputy Municipal Commissioner Vishal Khanama visited the spot, inspected the site, and assured that repair work would be taken up on priority. The protest ended after authorities promised swift action.
