The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced that Round 2 of NEET UG Counselling 2025 will begin on August 29. In a parallel update, the National Medical Commission (NMC) confirmed an increase in the number of MBBS seats available from this round onwards.
The detailed schedule—covering choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting deadlines—will be published shortly on the MCC website (mcc.nic.in).
Who Can Participate in Round 2?
Round 2 is open to both fresh applicants and those seeking upgrades. Eligible candidates include:
- Students who did not register in Round 1.
- Registered candidates who were not allotted any seat in Round 1.
- Those allotted a seat but who did not report to the college.
- Students who joined in Round 1 but now wish to upgrade to a better seat.
Note: Candidates who have already accepted and reported to their Round 1 seat are not eligible for Round 2.
Registration Steps
Candidates must log in to the MCC portal with their NEET UG 2025 roll number and password. Once the revised schedule is live, they can:
- Fill and lock seat preferences.
- Track allotment results directly on the portal.
- Documents Required at Reporting
After allotment, students must report to their designated institute with originals and 2–3 sets of self-attested copies of the following:
- NEET UG 2025 Admit Card (NTA-issued)
- NEET UG Scorecard / Rank Letter
- Class 10 & 12 Mark sheets and Passing Certificates
- Valid Government Photo ID (Aadhaar / PAN / Passport / Driving Licence)
- Passport-size photographs (8–12)
- Provisional Allotment Letter (from MCC portal)
- Proof of counselling fee and security deposit payment
Institutes may ask for additional documents during verification, so candidates are advised to carry extra copies.
