An Air India flight (AI613) from Mumbai to Ahmedabad was delayed by nearly five hours on Sunday after a technical fault was detected moments before takeoff.
According to a media report, the flight, scheduled to depart at 5:30 am, had already boarded passengers when the snag was identified, forcing them to deboard. The incident led to chaos at the airport, with several passengers demanding refunds and others seeking alternate flight arrangements.
The aircraft was cleared after inspection and finally departed at 11:21 am.
Delays also hit other Air India services on the same day, with the Ahmedabad–Belgaum flight running five hours late and another Ahmedabad–Mumbai flight facing a six-hour delay.
