Taking strict action against norm violations, the District Education Officer has recommended that the Gujarat Board cancel the recognition of Prem Vidya Mandir and Kuldeep English School in Ghatlodia.
Both schools share the same premises and are managed by a single administrative body.
According to a media report, “In view of the irregularities of Prem Vidya Mandir (Hindi Medium – Standard 1 to 8) and Kuldeep English School (English Medium – Standard 1 to 8), a committee was formed as per Right to Education Act. As per the recommendation of the committee, it has been suggested to the Director Primary Education, Gandhinagar, that the recognition of the two schools be cancelled,” DEO R M Chaudhari said. The schools were under the scanner after they shifted to a new premise without getting necessary permission from the board. The schools had permission to function from sector-3 in Chanakyapuri but moved to sector-2, leading to an inquiry. “The new place does not have proper classrooms, grounds and other modern facilities,” officials said.
