CEPT University has started its Monsoon Semester 2025 with 427 new postgraduate students across five faculties—architecture, planning, design, management, and technology. Of these, 56% are women.
According to a media report, the students have come from 25 different states and Union Territories.
The welcome event was attended by CEPT President Prof. Barjor Mehta, Provost Prof. Tridip Suhrud, Registrar Anita Hiranandani, Deputy Provost (Academics) Prof. Chirayu Bhatt, along with faculty, staff, and senior students.
Prof. Mehta encouraged students to take charge of their learning and behaviour, highlighting the importance of fairness and responsibility. Prof. Suhrud spoke about the university as a space for independent thinking, open discussions, and diverse ideas. He also explained CEPT’s studio-based learning approach, which focuses on teamwork, peer feedback, and sharing of work.
