Gujarat University (GU) has issued a circular outlining the Diwali vacation schedule for academic staff at its affiliated medical and para-medical colleges.
According to a media report, half of the teaching staff across disciplines—including medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, optometry, homeopathy, prosthetics and orthotics, occupational therapy, audiology, and speech-language pathology—will be on leave from October 17 to November 2.
November 3 will be observed as a common working day for all. The second group of staff will begin their Diwali break from November 4 to 20.
University officials clarified that vacations are granted in two phases to ensure uninterrupted academic and hospital-related services.
