The holy month of Shravan began today, marking an important time for devotees across the country. At the Somnath Temple in Veraval, Gujarat, the sacred Jyotirlinga was beautifully decorated with Bilva Patra (Bael leaves) to welcome the month.
Shravan is considered highly auspicious in the Hindu calendar and is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva. It also signals the beginning of the Hindu festive season.
