Vastrapur police detained two men and three women for allegedly consuming alcohol at a flat in NRI Towers, located in Ahmedabad’s Judges Bungalows area.
According to a media report, the police were alerted by residents of the apartment complex, who were disturbed by the ongoing party and contacted the police control room. Acting on the tip-off, a patrol team raided the flat on Saturday night and found the group intoxicated.
Those detained were identified as Chetan Kompela (resident of Shilp Revanta Apartments, Shela), Kalpit Thakkar (resident of CTM), and three women — Roshni Goyenka, Preeti Agrawal, and Lakshmi Koya. It was revealed that Preeti, Roshni, and Lakshmi were living in the rented flat where the party was held.
Vastrapur police have registered a case under the state’s prohibition laws, and further investigation is underway.
