A complaint has been lodged under the Land Grabbing Act against Advocate Ravi Jadeja by NKPL Realty with the Ahmedabad District Collector, accusing him of illegally occupying a high-value luxury flat in the Satellite area of Ahmedabad.
According to a media report, the flat in question—located in Scarlet Heights—is jointly owned by NKPL Realty partners Ashita Patel and Sonal Patel. The flat was leased to Jadeja in June 2020 for a monthly rent of ₹58,000, under an agreement that expired in 2021. As per the terms, he was required to vacate the premises after the lease ended.
However, Jadeja allegedly continued occupying the property without paying rent. From July 1, 2021, to November 30, 2023—a span of 29 months—over ₹16 lakh in unpaid rent reportedly accumulated. Despite repeated requests to vacate, Jadeja is said to have responded aggressively, reportedly telling the company representatives: “If you want the flat or the rent, go to court. This property now belongs to me.”
The company claims he not only overstayed without paying rent but also threatened and harassed their representatives. Prior complaints were submitted to the Bar Council of Gujarat, the Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court, the Ahmedabad Police Commissioner, and the Bar Council of India.
NKPL Realty has also urged the Bar Council of Gujarat to take disciplinary action under Section 35 of the Advocates Act, citing professional misconduct.
With no satisfactory response from previous authorities, the company has now sought action from the District Collector under the Land Grabbing Act.
