Western Railway has changed the timings and speeds of eight trains in the Ahmedabad Division.
These changes aim to improve passenger convenience and train punctuality during development work at Kalupur railway station. Trains may now arrive 5 to 30 minutes earlier or later at some stations. This affects both long-distance and premium trains, like the Mumbai-Hapa Duronto Express.
The revised schedules impact several key routes:
Premium and long-distance trains:
- Mumbai–Hapa Duronto Express (superfast service)
- Mumbai Central–Okha Saurashtra Mail
- Bandra Terminus–Jammu Tawi Express
Regional connections:
- Muzaffarpur–Porbandar Express
- Delhi Sarai Rohilla–Rajkot Express
- Dehradun–Okha Uttaranchal Express
- Jaisalmer–Bandra Terminus Express
- Delhi Sarai Rohilla–Bhuj Express
Western Railway officials stated that speed enhancements across these services necessitated partial changes in arrival and departure times at various stations within the Ahmedabad division.
Temporary service disruption
Passengers traveling on the Ahmedabad–Borivali Express will face changes from May 31 to June 2.
During this time, the train will not run fully and will stop early at Vasai Road instead of going all the way to Borivali.
This is because of a 36-hour major block needed to remove the elevated booking office at Kandivali Yard. The return train will also start from Vasai Road instead of Borivali.
Passenger advisory
Railway officials have asked passengers to check the latest train timings before travelling and plan their trips accordingly. These timing changes are part of Western Railway’s efforts to run trains more smoothly and carry out development work. Passengers can find the updated train schedules on official railway websites, mobile apps, or at railway stations.
