With IPL 2025 matches taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, the Ahmedabad Police have put special traffic arrangements in place to manage the heavy rush and avoid congestion on match days.
A large crowd is expected for Thursday’s game between Gujarat Titans and Lucknow SuperGiants. Other key fixtures include Gujarat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings on May 25, Qualifier 2 on June 1, and the grand Final on June 3.
To manage the large crowds expected for IPL 2025 matches at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad Police will restrict regular traffic on the road from Janpath T to the main stadium gate via Krupa Residency T and Motera Village T during match hours.
Citizens are advised to take alternative routes. One suggested route is from Tapovan Circle to ONGC Crossroads, Vistar T, Janpath T, and Power House Crossroad to reach Prabodh Raval Circle. Another alternative is from Krupa Residency T via Sharan Status Crossroad and Bhat-Koteshwar Road to Apollo Circle.
Emergency vehicles, match duty staff, local residents, and individuals with urgent needs will be allowed to pass through restricted routes near Narendra Modi Stadium during IPL match days.
Ahmedabad Police have warned that strict legal action will be taken against those violating the traffic rules. Citizens are requested to follow the advisory and plan their travel in advance to avoid inconvenience.
