Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Board has shared the new academic calendar.
According to the schedule, the SSC and HSC board exams are scheduled to take place from February 26 to March 16, 2026.
The academic session will commence with the first term examinations, which are going to be held from 9th June to 15th October 2025. After the exams, a Diwali break will be given to students from 16th October to 5th November 2025.
Following the festive break, the second term will start on November 6, 2025, and will end on May 3, 2026, which is the closing date for the academic year before the summer vacation starts.
Apart from the summer and Diwali holidays, students will also enjoy 15 public holidays and 9 local holidays during the academic year.
There are several exams and assessments coming up. The Class 9 Talent Search Exam will be held on January 28, 2026. For Class 10 and Class 12, the school-level theory and practical exams will take place from January 30 to February 3, 2026. The theory and practical exams for Class 12 Science will be held from February 5 to February 13, 2026. The annual exams for Classes 9-11 are scheduled from April 9 to April 20, 2026. Lastly, supplementary exams for Classes 10 and 12 will be held from June 16 to June 26, 2026.
Regarding the distribution of syllabus, the first-term exams for Classes 9 to 12 will consist of lessons taught between June and August 2025. Thirty percent of the coursework from June to August and seventy percent from September to December will be covered in the second-term exams for students in Classes 9 to 11.
