Amid widespread rumours on social media about changes in Tatkal and Premium Tatkal ticket booking timings, Indian Railways has issued a clarification—no such changes have been made.
Officials confirmed that the existing booking schedule remains the same and urged passengers not to fall for misleading online posts. The clarification comes after several viral messages falsely claimed that the booking timings had been revised.
Indian Railways has urged passengers to trust only official sources for updates on ticket bookings and ignore misleading social media claims. The Tatkal and Premium Tatkal booking timings remain unchanged.
As per current Indian Railways rules, Tatkal tickets can be booked one day before the journey date (excluding the day of travel) from the train’s originating station.
These timings remain unchanged, and passengers are advised to rely only on official sources for updates.
