Ahmedabad, the only World Heritage City in India, will witness the 6th Heritage Car Show on March 8 and 9. The grand showcase, taking place after a gap of five years, is being organised by the Gujarat Vintage and Classic Car Club (GVCCC) and hosted by the House of Aman Aakash Ahmedabad.

Car enthusiasts, history and heritage buffs will have the opportunity to witness a magnificent collection of 90 rare vintage cars and 40 vintage motorcycles, offering a glimpse into the evolution of automobiles over the past eight decades.

The event will be graced by noted judges and guests from the world of vintage automobiles, including His Highness Maharaja Manvendra Singhji of Barwani, Yuvraj Siddhraj Singhji of Barwani, among others.
Speaking about the show, Mr Subodh Nath, Founder &President of GVCCC, said, “The Heritage Car Show is a celebration of the timeless beauty and engineering marvels of vintage automobiles, and we are excited to bring the show back after five years. We are living in an era of electric cars and shared mobility, but these vintage beauties laid the foundation of modern transportation. The car show is an attempt to not just showcase these vintage vehicles, but also to help preserve them. We invite the people of Ahmedabad to be a part of this magnificent event.”

The event will showcase vintage cars and motorbikes from both pre-war and post-war eras. One of the star attractions will be the rare 1950 MG YT, fondly known asLalPari, India’s first vintage car to complete an incredible journey of 13,500 kilometers across 14 countries, from India to the UK. This remarkable car showcases the durability and timeless appeal of classic automobiles. The attendees will also get to witness the rare 1956 Chevrolet Bel Airthat has been owned by the same family for three generations, making it almost like a family member. This iconic car also holds historical significance, as it was the vehicle that drove Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru during the inauguration of the Nehru Bridge in Ahmedabad.In addition to these, another unique and historical vintage car on display would be the 1956 Dodge Suburban, the car of Ahmedabad’s First Police Commissioner.

The two-day event promises to be a visual treat for visitors, offering a rare opportunity to witness some of the finest vintage and classic vehicles up close. The 6th GVCCC Aman Aakash Heritage Car Show is expected to draw a large audience of car enthusiasts and collectors.
The car show will be open to the public on Saturday, 8th March, from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, and Sunday, 9th March, from 10:00 am to 09:00 pm.
