Reigning champions India clinched their second consecutive ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup title after beating South Africa by nine wickets on Sunday (Feb 2).
For India, Gongadi Trisha remained not out on 40 runs, while Sanika Chalke was not out on 17 runs.
Earlier in the innings, the Indian bowlers were spot on with their line and length as they bundled out South Africa for 82 in 20 overs.
Asked to bowl first, India made immediate impact with back-to-back wickets. For India, Gongadi Trisha scalped three wickets while Parunika Sisodia, Aayushi Shukla, and Vaishnavi Sharma scalped two wickets each. Apart from them, Shabnam Md Shakil also took one wicket for the defending champions.
