According to police, the fire was triggered by a cylinder explosion. “Two cylinders exploded in Sector 19 of the Maha Kumbh Mela, causing a massive fire in the camps. Firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze,” said Bhaskar Mishra, In-charge of Akhara Police Station.
Authorities confirmed that no casualties had been reported so far. Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances leading to the cylinder blast.
