In preparation for the Maha Kumbh 2025, Prayagraj Airport is likely to introduce direct flights to several major cities, including Ahmedabad. Starting December 15, travelers will have direct flight options from Prayagraj to Ahmedabad, as well as to Indore, Kolkata, and Dehradun.
This service expansion follows significant upgrades at Prayagraj Airport, enhancing both passenger handling capacity and terminal facilities. Currently, the airport provides direct flights to cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, operated by airlines such as Alliance Air, Indigo, and Akasa Air. With this expansion, Indigo is expected to manage flights to Ahmedabad, Indore, and Kolkata, while Alliance Air will likely operate the new Dehradun route. However, no official announcement has been made by the airlines yet.
The recent upgrades have increased Prayagraj Airport’s terminal capacity from 350 to 850 passengers, ensuring smoother transit for more travelers. These additions position Prayagraj to meet the anticipated influx of visitors for Maha Kumbh 2025, demonstrating the airport’s readiness for future growth and demand.
