IPL 2024 champions KKR have decided to part ways with their skipper Shreyas Iyer and star all-rounder Andre Russell, with Sunil Narine, Rinku Singh, Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy locked in as four retentions.
MS Dhoni is all set to feature in IPL 2025 after being retained in the uncapped category and the other four retentions of the franchise are Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, and Matheesha Pathirana.
Meanwhile, Shubman Gill and Rashid Khan headline Gujarat Titans’ retentions, who have also decided to retain Sai Sudharsan along with uncapped Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan.

As per the same report, things have been pretty sorted at Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), with the franchise retaining their top performers from the previous season, but at Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), there has been a major change.
LSG have decided to part ways with their captain, KL Rahul, and retained Nicholas Pooran, Mayank Yadav, and Ravi Bishnoi, along with the uncapped Mohsin Khan and Ayush Badoni.
SRH have retained their captain Pat Cummins, but not as top retention with Heinrich Klaasen taking that spot. The other three retentions of the franchise are Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Nitish Reddy.
Meanwhile, RR will enter the auction with Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, and uncapped Sandeep Sharma already present in the squad.
