The Gujarat government has announced recruitment of 1,903 staff nurses across various state-run health facilities. These nurses will be appointed through direct recruitment for positions at state community health centres and government hospitals.
The online application process for these positions will begin after October 5. Eligible candidates will be required to submit their applications via the Online Job Application System (OJAS) platform.
A competitive examination will be conducted for qualified applicants, and based on the results, a selection list will be published.
Following this, document verification will take place. Once the verification is complete, the final merit list will be released, and the selected candidates will be appointed.
The entire recruitment procedure is expected to be completed within 6 to 8 months.
A decade ago, a total of 7,785 Class-3 staff nurse positions were sanctioned in the state. Since then, the number of sanctioned positions has gradually increased to 12,101 across various health centres and hospitals.
Recruitment drives are conducted every two years to fill vacancies attributed to promotions, retirements, and other factors.
