The official trailer for Jigra, starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, was unveiled today, September 26. Directed by Vasan Bala, the film delves into the deep bond between a brother and sister. The trailer highlights the extent to which a sister will go to protect her younger brother. Jigra is set to release in theatres on October 11.
The three-minute-and-one-second trailer for Jigra opens with Alia Bhatt’s character being startled awake by a late-night phone call. In a panic, she urgently warns her brother, played by Vedang Raina, about a serious situation. Upon learning that her brother has been arrested in another country, Alia’s character becomes resolute in taking matters into her own hands. Willing to go to any length to rescue him, she embarks on a mission to save her brother, showcasing her determination and courage.
In a tense scene, Alia Bhatt’s character is seen with a knife attached to her wrist, asking if an inmate can visit their family for medical reasons. This moment highlights her desperation and determination to save her brother at any cost.
Alia has also co-produced Jigra with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Talking about the film, the actor had earlier said, “Just a little over a year later, we are ready to launch our second production – Jigra, a beautiful story of courage, passion, and determination. Besides Alia and Vedang, the crime-thriller also features Manoj Pahwa in an imporant role.
