The All India Chess Federation for the Blind (AICFB) is proud to announce that it will host the prestigious 12th IBCA World Junior and Women Chess Championship for the Blind and Visually Impaired 2024. The championship is scheduled to take place from September 27th to October 7th 2024, at The Chancery Pavilion in Bengaluru.
This official championship, which is organized biennially, marks a significant milestone as India becomes the first Asian country to host this esteemed event. The tournament is expected to witness participation from over 20 countries, highlighting the global reach and appeal of the sport among the blind and visually impaired community.
Countries such as the United States, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine, and many others have already confirmed their participation, promising a highly competitive and exciting championship. The event will bring together some of the best young and women chess players from around the world, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their talent on an international stage.
