The Education Department has announced that it will disbar candidates for five years if they submit forged or false information for recruitment to the post of Gyan Sahayaks (a contractual post) underway in the state. It also said that a criminal complaint would also be filed against such candidates.
The online application process for the recruitment will be on till August 5. Gyan Sahayaks will be appointed on a contractual basis in government and non-government-aided secondary and higher secondary schools of Gujarat.
Earlier the State Examination Board for Recruitment 2023 had conducted dual-level TAT (Secondary) and TAT (Higher Secondary) exams for various subjects. Candidates who cleared the subjects in their respective mediums can apply for Gyan Sahayaks.
Notification for document verification of the candidate who made it to the merit list will later be put up on the website and they will have to undergo mandatory document verification within the stipulated period. Candidates who fail to do so will have their candidature cancelled and their names dropped from the merit list.
