The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) plans to start its longest daily bus services connecting Bengaluru to Ahmedabad and other cities, according to a report. The journey would span about 1,500 kilometers. This move aims to meet the rising demand for long-distance travel from Bengaluru.
KSRTC is actively engaged in discussions with the respective Road Transport Corporations (RTCs) of Gujarat and other states, including Maharashtra, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh, to obtain necessary approvals for the new routes. The KSRTC expressed optimism about securing approvals swiftly.
The report mentioned that each route will have two air-conditioned sleeper buses: one for outbound travel and another for the return journey. Tickets may cost about ₹2,500 each, and there would be no onboard toilets. The journey is expected to take between 27 and 28 hours.
