After three days of Rajkot’s TRP game zone fire incident that claimed 35 lives, the DNA of one of the deceased was revealed to be of the main accused and partner in the game zone – Prakash Jain.
DNA of one of the charred bodies recovered from the burnt game zone has matched with the mother of Prakash Jain, which was sent to Gandhinagar for testing.
As of now, DNA matches have been made for a total of 19 deceased bodies. These bodies have been handed over to their families.
The DNA matching procedure is still going on at the forensic science laboratory – FSL Gandhinagar.
On May 28, accused Dhaval Thakkar was produced by the additional judicial magistrate BP Thakar in the court, where the court granted his 13-day remand.
Dhaval Thakkar, a native of Ahmedabad, professed his innocence and Jain is the main accused in the Rajkot fire incident. Three accused were produced in court on May 27, where they said that Prakash Jain is the main accused and all the accused have named him.
