Ahmedabad is set to experience another spell of scorching heat in the coming days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in Ahmedabad is likely to hover around 43-44 degrees celsius this week.
The maximum temperature in Ahmedabad soared to 45.2 degrees celsius on Monday, remaining 3.3 degrees above normal.
On the other hand, the minimum temperature in the city continued to remain below 30 degrees and settled at 29 degrees celsius, remaining 0.8 degrees above normal.
Kandla Airport remained the hottest place in Gujarat at 45.3°C, followed by Ahmedabad. Gandhinagar (44.5°C), Bhavnagar (44.4°C), and Deesa (44.3°C) followed in terms of the hottest locations in Gujarat on Monday. After reaching the season’s highest temperature of 46.6 degrees celsius on Thursday last week, the temperature decreased by 3.4 degrees in a matter of three days and went up again on Monday.
According to the Met department, the maximum temperature in the city is expected to remain around 44 degrees celsius.
