Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation informed that its operations in Ahmedabad will end at 7 pm instead of routine 10 pm time on 12 November in view of firecrackers bursting that shall take place on the occasion of Diwali that day. Metro rail services from 13th November will routinely function till 10 pm.
In view of public bursting of firecrackers and its possible effects, which may affect the safety and security of passengers along with operational safety of the Metro Rail, and as followed by other Metro Rails also, it has been decided to reduce the timing of Metro Rail service from 6.20 am to 7 pm for one day on 12-11-2023.
