The Gujarat government today signed five memorandums of understanding for investment proposals worth Rs. 1,095 crore in the State.
The government said this will result in the creation of 1230 employment opportunities in the coming years.
The government said the MoUs signed today are in packaging material production, plastic, textile, renewable sector projects, formulation and API, food processing plant of cooking oil, green tea, ready-to-eat Gujarati khichdi, desi Gir cow ghee, honey production, ready-to-cook products.
The government has not shared the details of the companies that signed the MoU or their proposed locations.
The MoUs were signed in the presence of the Chief Minister. Ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit which is scheduled to take place in January next year, the Government of Gujarat holds a MoU signing event every week in the capital. The MoUs have been signed so far in seven such events since July this year. The total proposed investment under these MoUs has been Rs. 13,536 crore, with the possible creation of employment opportunities worth 50,717, said the government in its note
