President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project at Gujarat assembly. The Gujarat legislative assembly’s monsoon session begins today in Gandhinagar.
President Murmu is addressed the legislators, The NeVA project aligns with Prime Minister Modi’s ‘One Nation, One Application’ initiative and aims to transition assembly operations into a paperless format, the assembly secretariat explained, noting that all MLAs have already received training to access and operate the NeVA application using tablets.
In addition to routine proceedings, the assembly will deliberate on nine bills over this period, notably the ‘Gujarat Common Universities Bill, 2023,’ which the Congress plans to vehemently oppose, claiming it will eliminate student politics.
