The Cricket World Cup is scheduled to start in India from October 5. before that, the opening ceremony will be organized at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 4.
The warm-up matches for the World Cup will end on October 3. according to media reports, after the completion of the warm-up matches, all the captains will gather in Ahmedabad for the opening ceremony. all will interact with the media and take photos. this is known as ‘Captain’s Day’.
Bollywood stars can participate in this colorful event. captains of all 10 teams will also be present there on that day. the next day, the first match of the tournament will be between England and New Zealand.
Members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), members of the Executive Board of the global cricket governing body and representatives of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be present on the occasion.
A total of 58 matches will be played in the World Cup. it consists of 10 practice matches. the World Cup matches will be played in 10 cities in India.
