While Shikhar Dhawan will captain Men in Blue in the ODIs against the Kiwis, Hardik Pandya will captain the Indian team in the T20 Internationals with Rishabh Pant serving as his deputy. For the New Zealand T20I and ODI series, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul have been rested.
After the World T20 in Australia, India will tour New Zealand for a white-ball series that consists of three T20Is and as many ODIs.
The series will run from November 18 to November 30, and New Zealand will visit India again in January of the following year for a white-ball series. Shikhar Dhawan will lead Team India in the ODI series against New Zealand, on the other hand.
In New Zealand, Team India will play three T20Is and three ODIs. On November 18, the first T20I will take place, then on November 20 and November 22, respectively, the second and third.
Beginning on November 25, a three-match ODI series will be played. India recently visited New Zealand in January–February of 2020.
India has won two of their previous three games in the present T20 World Cup, and they are currently ranked second in Group 2 of the Super 12.
The Men in Blue are level with Bangladesh and are one point behind South Africa. At Adelaide Oval, they will face Bangladesh next. Their last game would be against Zimbabwe.
If India wins its final two games, it should reach to the semifinals. Additionally, it appears that the two countries will compete in the semifinal because New Zealand is now in first place in Group 1.
