The couple getting married in a few days, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, have decided not to have a no-phone rule. Richa and Ali have chosen to forego the custom of such “no-phone” wedding ceremonies, which is quite popular among Bollywood superstars. They do this because they want their guests to feel comfortable and enjoy themselves.
Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal decided the wedding guests should have their phones on them as they would be more comfortable if they do not have any restrictions imposed on them, when they attend the wedding
Their quirky wedding invitation card, which is themed around a matchbox, read, “Leave your phones and enjoy yourself. Don’t worry about capturing this moment on camera. Capture it in real time”.
Unlike Richa and Ali, several celebrities had a no-phone policy at their wedding in recent years. Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas, Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal, and Varun Dhawan-Natasha Dalal reportedly had a no-phone policy at their wedding functions.
Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal met on the set of Fukrey in 2012 and began dating shortly afterwards. After seven years of dating, Ali proposed to Richa in 2019. They had planned to marry in 2020, but the wedding was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
They recently confirmed on social media that they intend to marry in October. Their pre-wedding festivities will begin in a few days at the Delhi Gymkhana Club, one of India’s oldest clubs. The festivities will conclude in October with a reception in Mumbai.
Their wedding card depicts the actors riding bicycles while dressed in ethnic Indian attire. In the retro-themed invitation, Richa is dressed in a red saree, while Ali is dressed formally in a blazer, red tie, and white pants.
