Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra is off to a roaring start. After it minted Rs 75 crore globally on Day 1, early estimates suggest that the film will rake in Rs 39 crore on Day 2. With Day 1 and Day 2 numbers combined, the film might touch the Rs 100 crore mark on Day 2 itself! Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#Brahmastra Hindi Day 2 Early estimates for All-India Nett around 39 Crs.. Huge (sic).” The film also picked up pace at the Tamil Nadu box office.
Brahmastra is a superhero drama that revolves around a simpleton who shares a special bond with fire. It features Alia Bhatt as the leading lady and marks her first collaboration with Ranbir Kapoor. The cast includes Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan. It is directed by Ayan Mukerji. Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo in the movie. Brahmastra opened in the theatres on September 9.
