Gujarat registered 577 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, up from 511 cases on Monday, an increase of more than 60 cases in daily cases.
The total cases in Gujarat reached 12,39,009 with the addition of new cases and the recovery of as many as 633 patients of Covid-19 on Tuesday.
Notably, the state also reported two deaths due to the infection and thus, the active caseload on the state has reached to 4,156 cases.
Ahmedabad again reported a highest of 252 fresh Covid-19 cases in the state on Tuesday. The city is followed by Surat, where 79 cases were reported, Bhavnagar registered 38, Vadodara 37 and Mehsana 31 in the last 24 hours.
According to the Gujarat Health and Family Welfare Department, 42,880 vaccination jabs were administered in the last 24 hours. The total number of vaccinated people in the state now stands at 11.19 crore.
