The Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), with the support of CPSES and in collaboration with SCOPE, has organised a number of events under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) to commemorate 75 years of independence from June 6th to June 12th, 2022.
One of the major events planned in this exhibition is the ‘Nation Building and CPSEs’ at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar. This exhibition will also showcase the contributions of CPSES toward a self reliant nation.
The exhibition will be open to the public from the 10th to the 12th of June.
Besides the exhibition, a CEO Roundtable for deliberating on the ‘Role of CPSES for a self-reliant India’ will be held. CMDs of over 30 CPSEs are expected to attend the event on 09th June.
A series of workshops on issues such as CSR with a special focus on Aspirational Districts, Annual Appraisal System of CPSES, Procurement from Micro & Small Enterprises (MSES), and Government E-Marketplace (GeM) are also being organised. These workshops aim to bring together all stakeholders on one platform for experience sharing and strategizing in the future course of action.
During the AKAM week, CPSES are undertaking Pan India ‘Plantation Drive” in which 75,000 saplings will be planted in their offices, townships, production units, etc.
Selected CPSEs will inaugurate/start activities to convert their townships into Mini Smart Cities in order to create an eco-friendly habitat and efficient water management.
During the week, a short film about the role of CPSEs in nation building will be released in 12 languages.
