Good news for passengers travelling by train as they will be able to travel with general tickets after June 30.
The decision was made following a downtrend in COVID-19 cases across the country.
Since COVID-19 entire train system was disrupted however, some trains were started by reviewing the Covid situation at each stage. Special trains were also run by the Indian Railways for the convenience of the passengers in the background of Corona.
The general ticketing facility was closed on all of these special trains. Only passengers with reservations were permitted to travel. Now as the Corona wave has subsided, plans are in the works to allow train passengers to travel on general tickets after June 30.
