But the festival is being celebrated with many restrictions. Even in the midst of these government restrictions, Gujaratis are enjoying the day with family and friends.

There will be a battle of colorful kites in the sky between the kite flyers. Due to Corona, Uttarayan is being celebrated this year, as per government guidelines.

On the other hand the cold weather condition in many parts of Gujarat has cooled down the enthusiasm of the kite-flyers.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the wind speed will be good on the eve of Uttarayan today. The wind will blow at 10 to 15 kmph.

The Rajkot market of Gujarat is decorated with different types of kites. More variety of kites are available this year. But the prices are also slightly higher than last year.

Uttarayan festival is one of the most-awaited festivals of Gujarat. While Gujaratis look forward to screaming Kai Po Che to kites flying in the sky.
