Ranveer Singh starrer ’83 is facing legal trouble and Deepika Padukone, who is one of the film’s producers, has been dragged into the controversy. The producers of this sports drama have been charged with alleged cheating. As per the reports.
A UAE-based financier has filed a complaint against the makers of ’83 in Mumbai’s Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court, alleging that Vibri Media promised his company good returns after they invested around Rs 16 crores.
Their funds, on the other hand, were directed into multiple agreements involving filmmakers such as Kabir Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Deepika Padukone, and the money was used for the production of ’83 without the complainant’s written consent. According to the report, advocate Rizwan Siddiquee stated that his client, FZE, has filed a criminal complaint alleging cheating and criminal conspiracy against all of the producers of ’83.
’83 is a film directed by Kabir Khan that tells the storey of the Indian cricket team’s World Cup victory in 1983. Deepika will play Romi Bhatia, the onscreen wife of Ranveer Singh, who plays Kapil Dev in this real-life drama.
Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, and Ammy Virk are among the cast members of this film. The film 83 will be released on December 24th.
