Fever cases with viral infection have been a increased in the city. As per Gujarat EMRI 108’s data, there has been a 63% rise in high fever cases in August compared to July. Whereas Covid cases seems to be in control. EMRI 108 has also seen a notable rise in other health issues like breathing problems, convulsions (fits), abdominal pain and severe headache in the city.
There is a 33% rise in breathing problems cases, up from 159 in July to 1,737 in August. Abdominal pain cases also rose by almost 9% from 2,552 in July to 2,773 in August.
The situation is likely to continue and so people have to maintain hygiene in the surroundings and immunity of the body, according to the doctors . Dr Manish Agrawal, said, “We have also seen a three-fold rise in viral cases over the last one month. Here, 70% are viral cases, followed by dengue and chikungunya.”
The medical experts also advise people with immune-compromised conditions to keep a check on their health by visiting their physician on a regular basis for check-ups. They also advise to perform yoga and exercise daily.
