Ahmedabad residents are facing another increase in fuel expenses ahead of Diwali, with Adani Gas raising Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) prices for the second time in just 14 days. The latest revision has increased the price by Rs 2.30 per kg, taking the new rate to Rs 100.77 per kg.
The latest hike comes shortly after the company increased CNG prices by more than Rs 4 on October 23, 2026, pushing the rate to Rs 98.47 per kg. With the latest revision, CNG prices in Ahmedabad have crossed the Rs 100 mark.
The repeated price increases are likely to affect auto-rickshaw and taxi operators, who depend on CNG for their daily operations. The higher fuel costs could also translate into increased transportation expenses for passengers, particularly during the festive season.
This is not the first CNG price revision in recent months. On August 1, rates were increased by Rs 4 per kg. Another increase of around Rs 4 followed in October, before the latest hike of Rs 2.30 per kg.
With three price revisions in a few months, CNG users in Ahmedabad are now facing a higher fuel bill, adding to their expenses ahead of the festive season.
