Several schools in Ahmedabad received bomb threat emails, prompting authorities to evacuate campuses and launch security checks. Police and security teams rushed to the schools after the threats were reported.
According to preliminary information, Narayan Guru School in Satellite, Podar International School in Chandkheda, Vidya Bharati School and C.N. Vidyalaya received emails from an unidentified sender threatening bomb blasts. School authorities immediately alerted the police.
As a precautionary measure, the schools evacuated their buildings and released students early. Parents were informed through phone calls and messages and arrived at the campuses to take their children home safely.
Local police, sector officers, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) personnel and dog squad teams reached the premises. Security teams cordoned off the school buildings and thoroughly searched classrooms, playgrounds, parking areas and other parts of the campuses.
The incident comes amid another reported threat linked to Punjabi singer Diljit’s concert, scheduled to take place at Narendra Modi Stadium on November 21. An email reportedly issued in the name of the Khalistan National Army threatened the event.
