As many as 88 medical and dental seats remain vacant in Gujarat even after four rounds of counselling, including a few government quota seats.
The admission process for these seats has concluded, with the deadline for fee payment in the fourth round ending on Monday. Of the vacant seats, 56 are in medical colleges and 32 in dental colleges. These include seats at NHL Municipal Medical College, Narendra Modi Medical College and Adani Medical College.According to admission committee sources, some government quota seats have remained vacant for the first time.
The committee conducted counselling for 8,452 seats, including 7,233 medical and 1,219 dental seats. After the first three rounds, 119 medical and 104 dental seats were vacant. All 223 vacant seats were allotted to students during the fourth round, held from October 21 to 26.
