The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has decided to keep seven Aadhaar service centres open on Sundays to help working professionals, students, traders and other citizens who cannot visit the centres on weekdays.
Under the new arrangement, one Aadhaar service centre in each of Ahmedabad’s seven zones — Central, North, East, South, West, North West and South West — will operate every Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Citizens can visit these centres to access the Aadhaar-related services available there.
The initiative aims to make Aadhaar services more accessible to people who find it difficult to take time off from work or business during regular working days.

- Central Zone: Girdharnagar Ward Office, near Rachna School, opposite Civil Hospital, Shahibaug.
- North Zone: Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, near Memco Crossroads, Naroda Road, Memco.
- East Zone: Amraiwadi Sub-Zonal Office, next to National Handloom, Swastik Crossroads, Amraiwadi.
- South Zone: Conference Room, first floor, Maninagar Zonal Office, opposite Fire Station, Rambagh, Maninagar.
- West Zone: Room No. 415, fourth floor, Multi-Level Parking, next to Navrangpura Bus Station, Navrangpura.
- North West Zone: Late Bansibhai Pranlal Patel Bodakdev Sub-Zonal Office, near Gurudwara Crossroads, Bodakdev.
- South West Zone: Maktampura Sub-Zonal Office, next to APMC Market, near Vishala Crossroads, Sarkhej Road, Maktampura.
The Sunday service is expected to provide greater convenience to citizens who need Aadhaar-related services but are unable to visit the centres during normal working hours.
