Ahmedabad: The Indian Postal Department has launched its new ’24 Speed Post Document Service’ in Ahmedabad to provide faster and more reliable delivery of documents to six major cities, including Delhi and Mumbai, within 24 hours.
The premium service was officially launched at Ahmedabad General Post Office (GPO) on October 15, marking the conclusion of National Postal Week. The Postmaster General of the North Gujarat Region inaugurated the service to meet the growing demand for time-bound mail delivery.
Bhavika Mangukiya became the first customer to use the service, booking a document from Ahmedabad to Thane. The Postmaster General handed over the booking receipt to her, formally marking the launch.
The new service aims to improve the speed and reliability of document delivery for customers who require urgent and timely dispatches. It is expected to benefit individuals, businesses and organisations that depend on fast postal services.
With the introduction of the 24-hour delivery facility, India Post is expanding its premium offerings to meet changing customer needs in the mail and parcel sector.
