Ahead of Navratri, Ahmedabad Police’s SHE Teams have introduced a new communication strategy to connect with Gen-Z and make police services more approachable for young people.
Around 300 women police personnel from 49 police stations and women’s police stations are visiting paying guest (PG) accommodations, schools, colleges, garba classes and public places every day as part of the initiative. The aim is to make interactions between the police and youngsters more informal and comfortable.
The approach is especially helpful for non-resident Indians (NRIs) and young people who feel more comfortable communicating in English or Hindi.
