Karan Johar is getting ready to serve one last cup of Koffee With Karan. The filmmaker-host has officially announced that the popular celebrity chat show will return with Season 9, which will also mark the end of its 22-year journey. The final season will begin streaming on JioHotstar from October 14.
Johar made the announcement through an emotional promo in which he looked back at the show’s journey since its launch in 2004. Over eight seasons and 161 episodes, Koffee With Karan became known for candid celebrity conversations, rapid-fire rounds, personal revelations and moments that frequently sparked discussions beyond the show. Johar also reflected on the controversies and unexpected moments that became part of its long run.
In a statement accompanying the announcement, Johar said the show had given him friendships, memories, memorable moments and its share of controversy, while thanking the audience for continuing to return for another cup of coffee. Calling the final season his way of celebrating everyone associated with the show, he invited viewers to join him “one last time” as Koffee With Karan prepares to close its run.
