The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) is set to auction 16 plots across the city with a combined base value of more than ₹1,415 crore.
The e-auction includes six commercial plots in Thaltej, seven in Chandkheda, and one each in Bopal and Chandlodia. It also includes a 73,428-sq-m plot in Kathwada earmarked for township development.
The highest base rate has been fixed at ₹2.80 lakh per sq m for a commercial plot in Thaltej. Spread over 7,780 sq m, the plot has a base value of around ₹202 crore. AUDA officials expect competitive bidding to push the final price to around ₹300 crore.
Another Thaltej plot, measuring 5,788 sq m, has a base value of ₹150.50 crore. The other four commercial plots in the area have base values ranging from ₹72.26 crore to ₹121 crore.
In Chandkheda, the base rates for the seven commercial plots range from ₹1.19 lakh to ₹1.90 lakh per sq m. Their base values range from ₹18 crore to ₹64 crore.
The 4,104-sq-m Bopal plot has a base rate of ₹1.12 lakh per sq m and a base value of around ₹46 crore. The 1,197-sq-m Chandlodia plot has a base rate of ₹1.91 lakh per sq m, with an estimated base value of ₹22.86 crore.
The largest plot in the auction is the 73,428-sq-m Kathwada parcel earmarked for township development. With a base rate of ₹65,000 per sq m, it has a base value of around ₹477 crore.
AUDA plans to use the auction proceeds to fund development works within its jurisdiction and strengthen its finances. The funds will also help restart projects that have been stalled due to a shortage of funds, with roads and bridges expected to receive a significant share.
According to the tender notice issued on Thursday, October 13 is the deadline for submitting the required documents.
