An IndiGo flight from Lucknow to Dammam made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport at 5:55 pm after a message reading “BOMB” was reportedly found written on a tissue paper inside the aircraft.
The flight had 133 people, including crew members, on board. All passengers were safely deboarded as airport security agencies, the fire team and bomb squad carried out checks. Passengers are also being asked to provide handwriting samples as part of the investigation.
This is the second emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport in 10 days. Earlier, an Air India Express flight made an emergency landing in an incident in which a crew member’s name emerged in connection with the case.
